CAMPUS BRIDGING INITIATIVE

An immersion that unites urban
and rural college students for
cross-cultural cooperation.

The dissonance and disconnect between the urban and rural experience is increasingly prominent, marked by stark differences in political beliefs, differing access to essential resources, and limited cross-cultural interactions.

Research suggests that social cohesion improves when people experience understanding and belonging.

To build on this evidence, our curriculum draws on research from the fields of peacekeeping, conflict mediation, and community organizing.

By convening urban and rural students for an immersive, cross-cultural learning experience, individuals emerge as Bridgers who feel bonded to one another and skilled to cross divides on their campuses and beyond.
